This is our story. Our heritage. Our family’s passion - crafted into every piece of fine jewellery we create.

A young apprentice in London's hatton garden
1982
At just 16 years old, Paul began his journey into the world of fine jewellery under the careful guidance of his father. What started as a father-son apprenticeship soon blossomed into a lifelong dedication to craftsmanship, beauty, and detail.

TAKING ON THE WORLD OF FINE JEWELLERY
1986
With craftsmanship in his hands and vision in his heart, Paul teamed up with his brother Sean to bring Hyde Park Design to life. A partnership rooted in family and built on the belief that bespoke fine jewellery should be as meaningful as it is magnificent.

SHOWCASING OUR PIECES
1990
The brothers began showcasing their work at exhibitions, gradually building a loyal following. Their reputation grew for creating custom made engagement rings and wedding bands that captured each couple's unique story.

ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY
2012
As their reputation grew, so did their innovation. Sean became an expert jewellery CAD designer, seamlessly blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge technology. This fusion of old and new allowed the brothers to design and craft even more extraordinary pieces - each one unique, personal, and timeless.

THE THIRD GENERATION
2014
The next generation soon joined the journey. Paul's daughter, Eloise, inspired by the artistry around her, became part of the family legacy. Working closely alongside her father and uncle, she brought fresh energy and a bold perspective as a designer - committed to redefining what bespoke fine jewellery can be.

Setting a New Standard
2018
Soon after, Paul’s son Sam joined the workshop, quickly becoming a skilled diamond and gemstone setter. With a precise hand and innovative spirit, he continues to refine setting techniques - ensuring each piece is as striking as it is expertly crafted.

Heritage Meets Heart at Hyde Park Design
2025
Today, Hyde Park Design is more than a business. It’s a multigenerational family of jewellers who live and breathe their craft. Every piece we create is a collaboration -not just between our family, but with each client who walks through our door.

Hatton Garden has so many jewellers because of its long-established history as the centre of the UK’s jewellery and diamond trade, dating back over 400 years. Several key reasons explain why it became and remains the heart of the industry:
- The area became a hub for jewellery and precious metals as far back as the 16th century. Its reputation grew when skilled craftsmen, including Huguenot refugees, settled there and brought their expertise.
- Being close to the City of London and the West End made it an ideal location to serve affluent clients and international traders.
- Over time, Hatton Garden developed a unique ecosystem - diamond dealers, setters, polishers, engravers, casters, and designers working closely together in one area. This concentration of talent and services made it efficient and attractive for jewellers.
- Many businesses in Hatton Garden are multi-generational, passing down skills and relationships that keep the district’s reputation strong.
Together, these factors created a self-sustaining community that continues to thrive as the UK’s leading destination for fine jewellery.
Located in central London, this historic street has been the heart of the British jewellery trade for centuries. It is home to a dense concentration of diamond dealers, master craftsmen, and independent jewellers, making it the premier destination for engagement rings, bespoke pieces, and fine gemstones. Hatton Garden’s reputation as the epicentre of the UK’s diamond industry is built on generations of expertise, heritage, and trust.
